Architecture:
Cathedral de Barcelona
This picture was of an ancient Catholic cathedral in Barcelona, Spain, photographed over spring break to show the ancient architecture. I took it an angle, from below looking up in order to capture as much as possible, but also making the building feel more powerful through the camera. This is a technique in film as well, giving or taking away power from the subject by shooting from below or above. I chose to post this building as I was in awe by the immaculate details, and how well they have been preserved in the hundreds of years since its creation. I applied the black and white filter to emphasize the building's age and historical background.

Alhambra Living Quarters
I took this picture during a tour of Alhambra, an ancient palace in Granada, Spain that has since been opened to the public eye. The building pictured I believe is of the living quarters. I chose this particular shot of the building because it shows both the architecture of the building, but also a taste of the exotic view the inhabitants must have experienced. Fortress walls

Los Arcos de la Alhambra
The Alhambra is full of arches like these, as it was a big part of the architectural style at the time it was built. However I liked these arches most out of my visit there because of the beautiful view behind them, and how they framed the mountains and bright colors so beautifully. Skylight
